No spreadsheet handoffs and no guessing which screen is authoritative. One live room carries the group from setup through the saved result.
Draft night in six steps.
- Create. Run a one-off room immediately, schedule the start, or sign in to own a private league and its history.
- Invite. Share the room code for a one-off draft or a reusable private-league invite with the managers you choose.
- Prepare. Managers take their own seats, ready up, and optionally build a queue. The commissioner locks the order and starts.
- Draft. The server owns the clock, turn order, eligibility, team caps, automatic fallback, picks, and synchronized rosters.
- Recover. Refreshes and dropped connections restore the same authorized identity and reconcile the latest saved room state.
- Keep it. Every completion path produces final rosters, a complete pick board, saved history, and deterministic CSV export.
Commissioner
- Choose instant or scheduled setup and the expected manager count.
- Share access, confirm readiness, randomize the order, and start the clock.
- End a stalled draft deliberately and retain the same official result contract.
Manager
- Join once, ready up, search the available pool, and prepare a personal queue.
- Pick only on your turn; duplicate, stale, and unauthorized actions are rejected.
- Return after refresh or reconnect to the same seat, roster, queue, and result.
When real life interrupts
Refresh or reconnect. The client retries within a bounded window and replaces local assumptions with the authoritative saved state.
Miss the clock. An enabled queue is tried first; otherwise the backend records the best valid available player as an automatic pick.
Arrive late. Joining closes after the commissioner locks the order, so the active draft cannot change unexpectedly.
Invalid identity. Expired account or room credentials fail closed and explain how to request a fresh link or rejoin.
